NAASCU again, for this year 2012-2013, opened its annual program for colleges and universities to compete and to aim for triumph. On its 12th season, the opening supposed to be on July 30 was moved due to flooded areas along Makati Coliseum and heavy rain fall, its TYPHOON GENER's fault. The opening was moved on August 1.
Ms. Stacey Gonzales, a Centro Escolar University student, greeted the crowd with a heart-warming song which surely melted the hearts of everyone. After Ms. Gonzales' performance, the crowd immediately cheered for their school. Well, while everyone cheer using their voice and all sort of stuffs they can hit to create noise, CUP just brought DRUMS which literally dominates the whole coliseum. I'm not bitter, am I? Moving on, after the ear-damaging noise brought to us by CUP (most of it of course), other colleges and universities, its been followed by an opening prayer by Bro. Jeofrey Bautista of New Era University. Ms. Gonzales once again enchant the coliseum with her voice singing the national anthem together with ROTC Cadets of City University of Pasay holding the Philippine Flag and NAASCU Flag.
Dr. Ernesto Jay G. Adalem officially opened the 12th celebration of the NAASCU.
After the President's speech, the Philippines very own Mr. Alvin "The Captain" Patrimonio, gave his speech for the athletes and students to treasure. He said that there is no shortcut for success.
Then the crowd roared in unison when muses and escorts walked around the court showing everyone what they've got; beauty, wits and body.
I will cut you short for the information because I'm having this illness they call "Ningas Kugon" (Spelling disregarded).
Well, hunt me if you can for more information HAHA. Anyway, NEU's Muse, Miss Jana Paulina Don Diego is the First Runner up for the 12th NAASCU. Mr. and Ms. NAASCU both comes from STI, Carlo Saldana and Denise Sangalang.
